Rixos Hotels is expanding into the Moroccan market with three new luxury all-inclusive resorts, following a strategic partnership with one of Morocco’s leading investment groups, Alliances Group.

Chairman of Rixos Hotels Fettah Tamince announced the agreement at a signing ceremony attended by Morocco’s Tourism Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor and SMIT CEO Imad Barrakad, emphasizing that the projects align with Morocco’s long-term tourism vision. “This move demonstrates our commitment to bringing the vision and spirit of Rixos Hotels and Aliée brands, born in Türkiye, to new regions,” Tamince said.

Three flagship projects and $300 million investment

The projects include Rixos Marrakech, Aliée Marrakech, and Rixos Lixus – Larache, with a total investment of $300 million. The flagship resort in Marrakech will occupy over 26 hectares, featuring more than 400 hotel rooms and 60 private villa suites, combining Rixos’ luxury all-inclusive expertise with Alliances’ experience in large-scale real estate development.

Job creation and economic impact

The projects, scheduled for completion by 2029, are expected to generate 2,500 direct and over 3,000 indirect jobs, stimulating local economic activity during construction, planning, and operational phases. “These developments will elevate experiential tourism in the region while providing thousands of jobs,” Tamince noted.

Supporting Morocco’s tourism goals

The new resorts support Morocco’s aim of attracting 17.5 million tourists annually by 2026 and enhancing tourism’s contribution to national GDP. Marrakech, already one of Morocco’s most visited cities, continues to draw interest from international hotel chains and investors thanks to its dynamic tourism economy.

Rixos Hotels currently operates properties across Europe (Türkiye, Montenegro, Croatia), the Middle East (UAE, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia), and Asia (Kazakhstan, Vietnam), with Morocco marking a significant expansion into North Africa.
