The company emphasized that the incident is unrelated to ANEX Group or its subsidiaries and concerns transactions that occurred before one of its affiliated companies acquired a hotel from another party.
The investigation, launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, involves a cryptocurrency-related case with links to Antalya. During the process, ANEX Tour’s Chief Financial Officer Neşe Koçkar — who is also the sister of ANEX founder Neşet Koçkar — was taken to the police station to provide a statement. However, several media outlets mistakenly reported that “Neşet Koçkar had been detained.”
According to ANEX Group’s attorney, the situation stems from a property transaction involving Adalı Otelcilik, a company within the ANEX Group, which purchased a hotel from İsmail Lepiev, the owner of Prince Group. The attorney clarified that the investigation relates to financial activities conducted by Lepiev prior to the sale of the hotel, and not to ANEX or its management.
In a written statement, ANEX Group’s lawyer said:
“This incident has absolutely no direct or indirect connection with ANEX Tourism Group or our clients. Ms. Neşe Koçkar was invited to provide information solely because Adalı Otelcilik had purchased a hotel from Mr. İsmail Lepiev. The questions concerned the property’s sale date and related documents, which have been submitted to the authorities. None of the allegations reported in the media reflect the truth, and the police did not question our client on any matter beyond the property transaction. Ms. Koçkar’s name was drawn into the situation amid confusion, but after giving her statement and presenting the necessary documents, she was released.”
The company reaffirmed that the matter is strictly related to the former owner’s personal business dealings, not to ANEX Group’s operations or its executives.
