Antalya’s tourism sector showed signs of stagnation in 2025, with official figures indicating only minor shifts in visitor numbers.

August arrivals

According to Antalya’s Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, the city welcomed 2.71 million foreign visitors in August, a 1.4% increase year-on-year. Russian Federation remained the top source market, sending 636,000 tourists (+5%), followed by Germany with 489,000 (+5%). Other key markets included United Kingdom (234,000), Poland (221,000), Romania (110,000), Kazakhstan (70,000), Ukraine (68,000), the Netherlands (67,000), the Czech Republic (60,000) and Slovakia (49,000).

January–August totals

For the first eight months of 2025, total arrivals edged down by 0.25% to 11.73 million visitors. Russian Federation accounted for 2.66 million arrivals (+0.8%), followed by Germany with 2.2 million (-1%), United Kingdom with 1.12 million (+0.5%) and Poland with 913,000 (+1%).

Together, these four countries represented 53% of Antalya’s total inbound market share—Russia (24.3%), Germany (20.1%), the UK (10.1%) and Poland (8.3%).

Other leading source markets

Among secondary markets, the Netherlands sent 341,000 visitors (-4.4%), Romania 332,000 (-2%), Kazakhstan 311,000 (-15%), Ukraine 296,000 (+24%), the Czech Republic 213,000 (-4%), Slovakia 163,000 (-8%), Lithuania 158,000 (+10%), Austria 145,000 (+5%), Belgium 144,000 (-2%) and Denmark 139,000 (-4%).

While some markets such as Ukraine and Lithuania posted strong growth, significant declines in others underscored the uneven performance of Antalya’s tourism sector in 2025.
